The бомтон is a mushroom (or a plant: its classification divides botanists) of very peculiar behaviour. It contracts its entire body to expel its spores. Its seeds are contained in translucent capsules that explode when expelled, releasing clouds of greenish spores.
The бомтон appears in various colours, ranging from beige through orange and red to black. Individual бомтон also changes colour over time.
