Sitting on the edge of the large root on which the family hut was built, Pü watched the other dwellings of the village, located on either side of the stump heights, and lit by the tireless dance of the fireflies. Several stories below his feet, he could see the thatched roof of the dojo, where his father was probably in the middle of training his brother. He hoped that both of them had calmed down. Pü had a very close relationship with his older brother, who constantly showed him love, but who could also show authority when necessary. He was his best friend as well as confidant.
