Region 

Somewhat homogeneous in terms of mineral resources, fauna, flora and the tribes that occupy it, the regions are the smallest geographical subdivisions on Atys. However, some regions may have several different ecosystems or their main ecosystem may not be that of the subcontinent to which they belong. Examples include the de Grove of Confusion, the Hidden Source or the Knot of Dementia.

Each region has "localities", special places of interest and outposts that are usually abandoned.

From a homin geography point of view, the regions are not as homogeneous as the official boundaries of nations might suggest. They are home to tribes that may be rebellious or even hostile to the nation dominating their territory.
