Wеедлинг
Материал из ЭнциклопАтис
The wеедлинг is an aerial root of the same family as the манхарт. It sometimes resembles a large snake-like creature that emerges undulating from the ground.
Adjusted to its semi-aquatic environment, it uses its raised root system to protect its leaves and flowers by holding them out of the water.
The inside of these roots teems with insects of all kinds that live in an ecosystem limited to wеедлинг. That is why, unlike the manharts, wеедлингс can not be used as shelters: it is impossible to settle there without being very quickly covered with insects.
Traditionally, the bride and groom pass under their arches to celebrate their union.
